Our story

What GAERS Is Building

Global Agricultural Extension and Rural Services (GAERS) is a grassroots-led initiative rethinking agricultural advisory in Nigeria. We use simple, accessible digital tools—especially WhatsApp—together with trusted community networks and farmer-led knowledge to close long-standing gaps in extension services.

Global Agricultural Extension and Rural Services (GAERS) is a dynamic social enterprise driving agricultural transformation across Nigeria, especially in the northern regions where small-scale farming is the backbone of food security and rural livelihoods.

Founded on the belief that agriculture must work for those closest to the land, GAERS envisions a future where smallholder farmers thrive through sustainable practices, equitable access to resources, and the power of digital innovation.

From humble beginnings, our journey has grown into a movement, powered by dedicated volunteers, bold partnerships, and an unshakable commitment to excellence. Each step forward reflects our mission to break barriers and build resilient farming communities.
